“Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you are to take my offering.
This is the offering that you are to take from them: gold, silver, bronze,
blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats’ hair,
rams’ skins dyed red, the skins of dugongs, acacia wood,
oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,
onyx stones, and stones to be mounted on the ephod and on the breastplate.
They are to make a holy place for me, and I will dwell among them.
According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all of its furniture, you are to make it just like that pattern.
The Ark of the Covenant
“They are to make an ark of acacia wood. Its length will be two and a half cubits, its width a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height.
You are to overlay it with pure gold. You are to overlay it inside and outside, and you are to make a gold molding around it.
You are to cast four rings of gold for it and put them in its four feet, two rings will be on the one side of it and two rings on the other side of it.
You are to make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
You are to put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark.
The poles are to be in the rings of the ark; they must not be taken from it.
You are to put the testimony that I will give you into the ark.
“You are to make a mercy seat of pure gold. Its length is to be two and a half cubits and its width is to be a cubit and a half.
You are to make two cherubim of hammered gold; you are to make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.
Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You are to make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.
The cherubim are to spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another; the faces of the cherubim should be toward the mercy seat.
You are to put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you are to put the testimony that I will give you,
and I will meet with you there, and from above the mercy seat—from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony—I will speak to you about all that I command you for the children of Israel.
The Table for Bread
“You are to make a table of acacia wood. Its length is to be two cubits, and its width is to be a cubit, and its height is to be one and a half cubits.
You are to overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it.
You are to make a rim of a handbreadth around it. You will make a golden molding on its rim around it.
You are to make four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that are on its four feet.
The rings should be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table.
You are to make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, so that the table can be carried by them.
You are to make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls to pour out offerings with, you are to make them of pure gold.
You are to set the Bread of the Presence on the table before me always.
The Golden Lampstand
“You are to make a menorah of pure gold. The menorah is to be made of hammered work. Its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers are to be of one piece with it.
There are to be six branches extending out from its sides, three branches of the menorah out from its one side, and three branches of the menorah out from its other side.
Three cups made like almond blossoms are to be on one branch, a bud and a flower, and three cups made like almond blossoms are to be on the other branch, a bud and a flower, and do the same for all six branches extending out from the menorah.
And on the menorah shaft there are to be four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers,
One bud under the first pair of branches of one piece with it, and a bud under the second pair of branches of one piece with it, and a bud under the third pair of branches of one piece with it; do this for the six branches extending out of the menorah.
Their buds and their branches are to be of one piece with it, the whole of it is to be one beaten work of pure gold.
Then you are to make seven oil lamps and set them up on it so that they give light to the space in front of it.
Its snuffers and its snuff dishes must be of pure gold.
The menorah, with all these accessories, is to be made of a talent of pure gold.
See that you make them according to the pattern you have been shown on the mountain.
