How Great Are Your Works
It is a good thing to praise Yahweh, to make music to your name, O Most High;
to declare your covenant faithfulness in the morning and your fidelity at night,
with the ten-stringed instrument, with the lyre, with resounding music upon the harp.
For you have made me glad, O Yahweh, by your deeds. I will shout with joy at the works of your hands.
How great are your works, O Yahweh! How deep are your plans!
Only a stupid person does not know, and only a fool does not understand this:
though the wicked sprout up like grass, and all who do wickedness flourish, they will be destroyed for ever and ever.
But you, O Yahweh, are on high forever.
For, behold, your enemies, O Yahweh, for, behold, your enemies will perish. All the evildoers will be scattered.
But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I have rubbed it with fresh oil.
And my eye has looked upon my enemies. My ears hear of evildoers who rise up against me.
The righteous person will flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
They are planted in the house of Yahweh. They will greatly flourish in the courts of our God.
They will continue to bear fruit in old age. They will be fat and fresh,
showing that Yahweh is upright— my Rock, in whom there is no injustice.
