Psalms 32

Blessed Are the Forgiven

Blessed is the person Whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the person to whom Yahweh does not count iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
When I kept silent, my bones wore out because of my groaning all day long.
For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My vitality was turned as in the heat of summer. Selah.
I declared my sin to you. I did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
For this, may everyone who is faithful pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely if there is a flood of mighty waters, they will not reach him.
You are a covering for me. You will guard me from distress. You will surround me with ringing cries of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way that you are to walk. I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Do not be like a horse or like a mule, which do not understand, which are controlled by bit and bridle or else they will not come near to you.
Many pains belong to the wicked person, but covenant faithfulness will surround the one who trusts in Yahweh.
Be glad in Yahweh and rejoice, O you righteous ones! Yes, shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!
