Let Us Go to the House of the Lord
I rejoiced when they said to me, “Let’s go to the house of Yahweh!”
Our feet are now standing inside your gates, O Jerusalem,
Jerusalem, built as a city firmly joined together;
to which the tribes ascend— the tribes of Yah, as a testimony for Israel— to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.
For there thrones were set for judgment, thrones belonging to the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be at ease.
May peace be inside your ramparts, ease inside your palaces!”
For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God I will seek your good.
