Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk according to the law of Yahweh.
Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart.
Yea, they do not commit injustice; they walk in his ways.
You yourself have commanded your precepts, that we are to diligently keep.
Oh that my roads might be steady to keep your statutes!
Then I will not be ashamed when I look upon all of your commandments.
I will give thanks to you with an upright heart when I learn your righteous judgments.
I will keep your statutes. Do not utterly abandon me!
How can a young man keep his path pure? By keeping it according to your word.
With my whole heart I have sought you; do not let me wander astray from your commandments!
I have hidden your speech in my heart, so that I might not sin against you.
Blessed are you, O Yahweh; teach me your statutes!
With my lips I have declared all the judgments of your mouth.
I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies as much as in all wealth.
I will meditate on your precepts and look upon your paths.
I will delight myself in your regulations; I will not forget your word.
Treat your servant well so that I may live and I will keep your word.
Uncover my eyes, that I may look upon wonderful things in your law.
I am a stranger on the earth; Do not hide your commandments from me!
My soul is worn down with longing for your judgments at all times.
You have rebuked the insolent, the cursed, who wander astray from your commandments.
Take reproach and contempt away from me, for I have guarded your testimonies.
Even though rulers sit and conspire against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.
Indeed your testimonies are my delight; my counselors.
My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word!
I declared my roads and you answered me. Teach me your statutes!
Make me understand the way of your precepts! Then I will meditate on your wonderful acts.
My soul has wept from grief; strengthen me to stand according to your word!
Take the deceitful road away from me and graciously give me your instruction!
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have considered your judgments.
I cling to your testimonies, O Yahweh. Do not put me to shame!
I will run on the road of your commandments, for you will broaden my understanding.
Teach me, O Yahweh, the way of your statutes, that I may guard it as a reward.
Give me understanding so that I may observe your law, yes, that I may keep it with my whole heart.
Lead me on the pathway of your commandments, for I delight in them.
Incline my heart toward your testimonies and not toward dishonest gain!
Avert my eyes from looking upon any worthless thing, and give me life in your roads!
Fulfill what you say to your servant, which brings you reverence.
Turn away the reproach that I dread; for your judgments are good.
Behold, I long for your precepts. Revive me by your righteousness!
Let your covenant faithfulness also come to me, O Yahweh, your deliverance, just as you have spoken.
So I will answer him who reproaches me, for I trust in your word.
And do not forcefully snatch the faithful word out of my mouth, for I put my hope in your judgments.
So I will continually keep your law, forever and ever.
And I will walk about in the broad place, for I have sought your precepts.
I will also speak of your testimonies before kings and I will not be put to shame.
And I will take pleasure in your commandments, which I love.
Yes, I will lift up my hands for your commandments, which I love; and I will meditate on your statutes.
Remember the word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.
This is my comfort in my affliction: that your utterance has revived me.
The insolent deride me excessively, but I have not deviated from your law.
I have remembered your judgments of old, O Yahweh, and I comfort myself.
Rage has seized me because of the wicked who forsake your law.
Your statutes have become my songs in the house where I sojourn.
I have remembered your name, O Yahweh, in the night, and I keep your law.
This law has become my own, so that I observe your precepts.
Yahweh is my portion. I have promised to keep your words.
I have entreated your face with my whole heart. Show me favor according to your utterance!
I have considered my roads and I turned my feet toward your testimonies.
I have made haste and did not delay to keep your commandments.
The cords of the wicked encircle me, but I have not forgotten your law.
In the middle of the night I will rise to thank you because of your righteous judgments.
I am a friend to all those who fear you, yes, to those who keep your precepts.
The earth is full of your covenant faithfulness, O Yahweh; teach me your statutes!
You have treated your servant well, O Yahweh, according to your word.
Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I trust in your commandments.
Before I was afflicted, I was going astray; but now I observe your utterance.
You are good and you do good; teach me your statutes!
The insolent have smeared me with lies. With my whole heart I will guard your precepts.
Their hearts are insensitive, as if covered with fat, but I have delighted in your law.
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I would learn your statutes.
Instruction from your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
Your hands created me and formed me; give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.
Let those who fear you see me and be glad, because I have put my hope in your word.
O Yahweh, I know that your judgments are righteous, and that in your fidelity you have humbled me.
O let your covenant faithfulness be my comfort, according to what you said to your servant.
Let your tender mercies come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.
Let the insolent be put to shame, for they have oppressed me with falsehood; I will meditate on your precepts.
Let those who fear you turn to me; yes, those who know your testimonies.
May my heart be blameless in your statutes, so that I will not be put to shame.
My soul languishes for your deliverance; I hope in your word.
My eyes languish for your utterance, I ask, “When will you comfort me?”
Though I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, I did not forget your statutes.
How many are the days of your servant? When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me?
The insolent have dug pits for me, those who are not in accord with your law.
All of your commandments are faithful. People have persecuted me with falsehood. Help me!
They had almost destroyed me on the earth; but as for me, I did not forsake your precepts.
Revive me according to your covenant faithfulness, so that I may keep the testimony of your mouth.
Forever, O Yahweh, your word stands firm in the heavens.
Your fidelity endures from generation to generation; you established the earth, and it stands.
According to your judgments they stand to this day, for all things are your servants.
If your law had not been my delight, then I would have perished in my affliction.
I will never forget your precepts, for with them you have revived me.
I am yours, deliver me, for I have sought your precepts.
The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; I will direct my attention to your testimonies.
I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is extremely broad.
O how I love your law! It is my meditation all day long.
Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for it is always mine.
I have more insight than all my teachers, because your testimonies are my meditation.
I have more understanding than the elders, because I have maintained your precepts.
I have restrained my feet from every evil path, in order that I may keep your word.
I have not turned aside from your judgments, for you yourself have taught me.
How sweet are your utterances to my taste, more than honey to my mouth!
Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every deceptive path.
Your word is a lamp to my feet, yes, a light for my path.
I have sworn an oath and have confirmed it, to keep your righteous judgments.
I am sorely afflicted; O Yahweh, revive me according to your word.
Please accept the willing offerings of my mouth, O Yahweh, and teach me your judgments.
My soul is continually in danger, but I have not forgotten your law.
The wicked have set a trap for me, but I have not wandered astray from your precepts.
I have inherited your testimonies forever, for they are the joy of my heart.
I have inclined my heart to perform your statutes; the reward is everlasting.
I hate those with divided loyalties, but I love your law.
You are my hiding place and my shield; I put my hope in your word.
Depart from me, O evildoers, that I may guard the commandments of my God.
Sustain me according to your utterance, so that I may live; and do not let me be put to shame because of my hope!
Support me that I may be delivered, then I will pay attention to your statutes continually.
You treat all those who wander astray from your statutes as worthless, because their thoughts are unrighteous.
You destroy all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love your testimonies.
My flesh trembles for fear of you, yes, I am afraid of your judgments.
I have performed justice and righteousness; do not leave me to my oppressors.
Intervene for the good of your servant; do not let the presumptuous oppress me.
My eyes languish while looking for your deliverance, yes, for the utterance of your righteousness.
Deal with your servant according to your covenant faithfulness and teach me your statutes!
I am your servant; give me understanding that I may know your testimonies.
It is time to act, O Yahweh; they have broken your law.
Therefore I love your commandments more than gold, yes, more than pure gold.
Therefore I carefully observe all of your precepts. I hate every false path.
Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them.
The opening of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the naïve.
I open wide my mouth and I pant, for I desire your commandments.
Turn to me and show me favor, according to your judgment toward those who love your name.
Establish my steps within your utterance; and do not let any wickedness have power over me.
Redeem me from human oppression so that I may keep your precepts.

Your utterance has been greatly tested, so your servant loves it.
I am insignificant and despised, but I do not forget your precepts.
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, your law is truth.
Distress and anguish have found me, yet your commandments are my delight.
Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live!
I called out with my whole heart; answer me, O Yahweh! I will guard your statutes.
I called out to you; deliver me and I will keep your statutes.
I rose up before dawn and cried out for help; I put my hope in your words.
My eyes anticipate the night watches, that I might meditate on your utterance.
Hear my voice according to your covenant faithfulness; revive me, O Yahweh, according to your judgments!
Those who pursue wickedness have drawn near; they are far from your law.
You yourself are near, O Yahweh; and all your commandments are truth.
Long ago I learned from your testimonies that you have established them forever.
Look upon my affliction and deliver me, because I have not forgotten your law.
Plead my cause and redeem me; revive me according to your utterance!
Deliverance is far from the wicked, for they do not seek your statutes.
Your tender mercies are many, O Yahweh; revive me according to your judgments.
My persecutors and my foes are many; yet I have not deviated from your testimonies.
I look at the unfaithful and I am in disgust, because they do not keep your utterance.
See how I love your precepts; revive me, O Yahweh, according to your covenant faithfulness!
The essence of your word is truth; and every one of your righteous judgments is everlasting.
Leaders have persecuted me without cause, but my heart stands in awe of your words.
I am rejoicing at your utterance, like one who finds great spoil.
I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love your law.
Seven times a day I praise you, because of your righteous judgments.
Great peace comes to those who love your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.
I have hoped for your deliverance, O Yahweh, and I have performed your commandments.
My soul has kept your testimonies; yes, I love them exceedingly.
I have kept your precepts and your testimonies, for all my roads are before you.
Let my cry come before you, O Yahweh; give me understanding according to your word!
Let my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your utterance!
Let my lips pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes.
Let my tongue sing of your utterance, for all your commandments are righteousness.
Let your hand be ready to aid me, for I have chosen your precepts.
I have longed for your deliverance, O Yahweh, yes, your law is my delight.
Let my soul live, that it may praise you, and let your ordinances aid me.
I have wandered like a stray sheep; seek your servant, since I have not forgotten your commandments.
