I Love the Lord
I love, because Yahweh hears my voice and my supplications for favor.
Because he has inclined his ear to me, so in my days I will call upon him.
The cords of death surrounded me, yes, the snares of Sheol have found me. I found distress and grief.
Then I called upon the name of Yahweh: “Yahweh, I beseech you, deliver my soul!”
Yahweh is gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.
Yahweh watches over the naïve; I was brought low and he delivered me.
Return to your restful condition, O my soul, for Yahweh has treated you well.
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from weeping and my feet from stumbling.
I will walk about in the presence of Yahweh in the lands of the living.
I believed, even when I said, “I was greatly afflicted.”
I said in my alarm, “Everyone is a liar.”
What can I repay to Yahweh for all his benefits toward me?
I will raise up the cup of salvation and call on the name of Yahweh.
I will fulfill my vows to Yahweh, yes, right in front of all his people.
Costly in the eyes of Yahweh is the death of his faithful people.
Oh, Yahweh, surely I am your servant, I am your servant, the son of your servant girl. You have loosed my chains.
I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of Yahweh.
I will fulfill my vows to Yahweh, yes, right in front of all his people,
in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise Yah!
