Tell of All His Wonderful Works
Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name! Make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him! Sing praises to him! Tell of all his marvelous works!
Boast about his holy name! Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Seek Yahweh and his strength! Seek his face continually!
Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his signs and the judgments of his mouth.
The seed of Abraham is his servant, the children of Jacob are his chosen ones!
He is Yahweh our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded to 1,000 generations,
which he cut with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac,
And he confirmed it to Jacob as a statute; to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
saying, “I will give you the land of Canaan, as your allotted inheritance.”
When they were only a few in number, very few, and were foreigners in it,
they walked to and fro from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
he allowed no one to oppress them, and he rebuked kings for their sakes, saying,
“Do not touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”
He called for a famine on the land. He broke the whole staff of bread.
He sent a man before them, Joseph was sold as a slave.
They afflicted his feet with fetters, His neck was put in irons;
until the time that his word came to pass, and Yahweh’s word refined him.
The king sent and freed him, the ruler of people, and he set him free.
He made him lord of his house and ruler of all of his possessions,
to obligate his princes to himself and teach wisdom to his elders.
Then Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
He caused his people to be very fruitful and made them stronger than their foes.
He turned their heart to hate his people, to behave cunningly against his servants.
He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.
They performed words of his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
He sent darkness and made it dark. And they were not disobedient to his words.
He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.
Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their rulers.
He spoke, and a swarm of insects came, and gnats throughout their territory.
He gave them hail for rain, flaming fire in their land.
He even struck their vines and their fig trees and shattered the trees of their territory.
He spoke, and the locusts came, yes, locusts without number,
and they ate up every plant in their land and ate up the fruit of their ground.
And he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigor.
He brought them out with silver and gold. And no one among his tribes stumbled.
Egypt rejoiced when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to illumine in the night.
He asked, and he brought quail and he satisfied them with the bread from heaven.
He opened the rock and water gushed out. It flowed as a river in the dry places.
For he remembered his holy word spoken with Abraham his servant.
He brought his people out with joy, his chosen with a cry of jubilation.
He gave to them the lands of the nations, and they inherited the fruit of the people’s toil,
so that they might keep his statutes and observe his law. Praise Yah!
