Bless the Lord, O My Soul
Bless Yahweh, O my soul! And all my inmost parts, bless his holy name!
Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits;
the one who forgives your every iniquity, the one who heals all your sicknesses,
the one who redeems your life from the pit, the one who crowns you with covenant faithfulness and tender mercies,
the one who satisfies your existence with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Yahweh performs righteous acts and judgment for all who are oppressed.
He declared his ways to Moses, his deeds to the children of Israel.
Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in covenant faithfulness.
He will not always accuse, nor will he keep his anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us according to our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so mighty is his covenant faithfulness upon those who fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.
For he himself knows our makeup. He remembers that we are dust.
As for a person, his days are like grass. As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
When the wind passes over it, then it is no more. And its place no longer remembers it.
But the covenant faithfulness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear him, yes, his righteousness to children’s children;
to those who keep his covenant, yes, to those who remember to obey his instructions.
Yahweh has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.
Bless Yahweh, you angels of his, mighty in strength, who do his word, listening to the voice of his word.
Bless Yahweh, all you armies of his, you servants of his who do his will.
Praise Yahweh, all you works of his, in all places of his realm. Bless Yahweh, O my soul!
