Furthermore, brothers and sisters, keep praying for us so that the word of the Lord continues to run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is also among you,
and pray so that we are rescued from harmful and wicked people, for not everyone has trust.
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the Wicked One.
And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you are both doing and will continue to do the things that we command.
Now may the Lord guide your hearts into the love of God and into the endurance of Christ.
Warning Against Idleness
Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother or sister who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition that they received from us.
For you yourselves know how you must imitate us, because we were not disorderly among you,
nor did we eat bread from anyone without paying for it; instead, we labored and struggled, working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
Not because we do not have the right to be supported, but so that we could give ourselves as an example to you so that you can imitate us.
And indeed, when we were with you, we used to give you this command: “If anyone is not willing to work, do not let him eat.”
For we hear that some among you are walking disorderly, not busy working, but are just busybodies.
Now we command and exhort such people in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to be working in a quiet fashion and to eat their own bread.
But as for you, brothers and sisters, do not grow weary in doing what is good.
But if anyone does not obey our word in this letter, take note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he is put to shame.
And yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother or sister.

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.
