1 Corinthians 13

The Way of Love

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but do not have love, I have become a sounding bronze, or a clanging cymbal.
And if I prophesy, and know all the sacred secrets and all the knowledge, and if I have all trust so that I can move mountains, but I do not have love, I am nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not brag, is not puffed up,
does not act improperly, is not self-seeking, is not provoked, does not keep a record of wrongs,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends, but where there are prophecies, they will be done away; where there are tongues, they will cease; where there is a message of knowledge, it will be done away.
For we know only in part, and we prophesy only in part,
but when the Completeness comes, that which is in part will be done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things.
For now we see in a mirror, darkly, but then face to face. Now I know only in part, but then I will know fully just as also I was fully known.
But now these three remain: trust, hope, and love—but the greatest of these is love.
